ABOUT THE SHOWS

ABOUT THE SHOWS

A NOSTALGIA FILM SHOW can run for between 1 and 2 hours (to suit you), with or without an interval.

All the films are on the super 8 gauge, which is ideal for projecting in small to medium- sized rooms or halls. All the films have sound.

Most of the films run for between 10 and 20 minutes, so there can be a lot of variety in each show. They include newsreels, documentaries, cine-magazines, travel films, musical films, adverts, trailers, comedy and a whole lot more.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR A SHOW

All you will need to provide is the room - anything from a small lounge to a large hall, and  enough seating for the audience,  ideally facing towards where the screen will be placed.

The room will need to have curtains to enable it to be darkened. The darker the  room, the more impact the show will have.  If  the room cannot be  darkened enough, I can bring additional blackout material to  help.

THE EQUIPMENT I WILL PROVIDE

A high quality film projector (super 8, standard 8 or 16mm, depending on the type of show)

A large, free-standing screen

A speaker

Blackout material to help with darkening the room, if required

The films, assembled onto reels lasting about 30 minutes each

    • CHOOSE  ONE OR MORE SUBJECTS or A DECADE of interest to the audience

    • CHOOSE A THEME for the show (see next page)

    • CHOOSE THE WHOLE PROGRAMME YOURSELF by selecting all the films from the brochure (available on request)

    • ASK FOR A VARIETY SHOW, and I will select  the programme to give a good  balance of subjects to suit the age range and interests of the audience
